Tell us, how did you meet? Was it Love at first sight?
We meet while I was travelling around Australia, I fell for him straight away – he was the typical blued eyed charming Aussie surfer. I don’t think either of us thought at that moment we would end up getting married, but it didn’t take us long to realize what we had was very special and we fought hard to stay together.

What about the engagement story? Can you give us a snapshot?
Troy purposed in a private villa in Lembongan: it was sunset and he put the ring on a day bed surrounded by frangipani’s. I walked down first and there it was, I turned around and we both just cried. It was perfect.

So you decided to become Mr & Mrs… Why Bali?
It is our second home, we spend a month there every year. We have had some of our best times in Bali – it is MAGIC!

How did you choose your Bali wedding planner? What was her/his Super Power?
We chose our planner Sascha because she ran all the weddings at our favourite venue – Micks place. We stayed there last year, and knew that it would be the spot for our day. Sascha made it so easy, and I felt like a made a friend along the way.

Did you have a theme for the wedding? And was it a late night Pinterest obsession?!
I wanted it to be rustic, fun and with a little bit of bohemian glamour.

How involved were you in the creative process?
Very, I had an idea in my head of how I wanted it to look and it didn’t disappoint, I look at photos of all the flowers daily and my photobooth (my favourite part). So beautiful, like a fairytale.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Somewhere over the rainbow.

Did you get to spend much time with your guests who travelled for your wedding?
Yes – a cocktail party the night before at El Kabron and a farewell BBQ at the Cashew Tree.

Talk to us about your hair and make up. Who was your muse?
I wanted a braided up do and luckily, my friend is a hairdresser and did an amazing job. For the veil and party head piece, which was fun to create, allowing me to make it as beautiful as I envisaged. I went very natural with my makeup. For a little fun, I had bindi’s and glitter for all the guests – it was gorgeous seeing everyone covered in sparkles and drinking cocktails.

Tell us about your D R E S S ?
My dress was by Suzanne Harwood – I knew I wanted a lace, crotchet style, and as soon as I tried it on I knew she was the one.

What was THE most memorable part of your big day?
Hearing Troy’s vows, we wrote are own and he blew me away. I couldn’t hold back the tears. I will literally treasure that moment forever.
