Bride: Talita Esther
Groom: Ricky White
Where do you live? Sydney
Wedding Date: 14th Jan 2017

Tell us, how did you meet? Was it Love at first sight?
We met in Sydney, out and about, there was a definite connection after we first met. i went overseas for 1 month but we talked every day over text and when i came back we started dating but then i went away again for another month. Fortunately when I returned we were official!

What about the engagement story? Can you give us a snapshot?
We booked a weekend at Huka Lodge in New Zealand, Ricky knew that the nearby hot springs was one of my favourite places because of previous visits so that spot was filled with fond memories with my girlfriends. Anyway we decided to grab some champagne and head down to the hot springs to start the holiday and not long after arriving he proposed to me under the waterfall, it’s now my fondest memory held at that special place.

So you decided to become Mr & Mrs… Why Bali?
We were both keen on a destination wedding and because Ricky is from the UK we planned 2 weddings. The first one in Bali, the second one is in May in Europe.

How did you choose your Bali wedding planner? What was her/his Super Power?
Narelle Williams at Global Weddings was fab – she was so quick to respond to any questions or issues we had.

Did you have a theme for the wedding? And was it a late night Pinterest obsession?!
I always wanted a very relaxed boho style intimate gathering so Bali Event Hires’s Macrame Arch & Persian rug were key accents, this theme was carried through to my outfit which had a playful boho vibe.

Did you sit down for a formal dinner or party the night away with canapés and cocktails?
We started with an afternoon ceremony on the beautiful villa grounds, followed by drinks and canapés. We then headed to a private dinner at La Lucciola, then back to the villa to dance the night away under the stars.

Tell us about your music. Did you have a special song to walk down the aisle to?
Walked the aisle to ‘Ever Be’ by Kalley Heiligenthal, reception music by Frank Sinatra.

Tell us about your D R E S S ?
Top by Delila Fox & Silk skirt by Catherine Deane both from Babushka Ballerina in Woollahara.

If there was one piece of advice you could give a Bali bride planning their big day, what would it be?
Don’t stress about the small things, the atmosphere and our actual presence being in Bali made for a relaxing day.

Any other big news since your wedding?
Yes actually….we got a puppy! His name is Bobbi, he’s pretty cute. @bobbithefrenchbulldog
